Vipassana..

VIPASSANA represents insight in Pali language..a type of Buddhist meditation to get all your senses active..the power of acute observation and deduction.penetration and perception.Getting your mind along your actions.do we think about it??

To understand what insight is, be with them..the people who were once defeated by life with complete darkness!but later on defeating that life wiping of their parents tears forever!don't know how fast is the world growing!no time to argue with your neighbors or colleagues for your goodness..what they need is just LOVE!i feel they are the actual humans..
Even when our egos are growing higher and faster than us, we never realize how precious our life is, the value of our 6 senses..do we use them???

i got a chance to be with those partially and completely blind students of various age groups..their enthusiasm to get through colors, textures and many more were wonderful..when their hands follow each curves of the sculptures they give there innocent smile to show yes am ready for it..

we are tired seeing colors..we argue on paints to be washed on the wall facing our bed..we stare at it as a status symbol or some kind of other thoughts pass on..that's it..is that just what colors go to in our life...??but for them they had many things to do with..they didn't know which color is in their hands but pressed the clay to the sheet, sprayed paint on the canvas knowing nothing whats happening in front if them..but they know they are making their life colorful...

ready to dip in to the colors, mix the powder to clay..played in water..what you get is forms of satisfaction out of it..the idea of vipassana arises here..taking them to a sea shore, making them listen to the sound of the water and air...just making them meditate..listening to the nature..their legs touching the sand, breeze flowing between their fingers...fragrance of sea salt...they could realize some amount of light is in them..they could feel the rays are rising front of them!!

their sense of touch, smell, speak, listen, taste has sharpened their intellectual mind...developed a vision in them!!

early treck!!

walking around..roaming around..it sounds all the same..if u have a closer one with u..some one who can eat ur head, yeah sure..its going to super fun...

ya this is what happened to me today..waking up early morning..before the 6 o'clock alarm actually piercing my ear drums ..got ready..made a tea of my own(early morning cooking s sick)..packing bags in all hurry..in a while heard a "arrghh" behind..it was my great mom giving me a stare meaning any plans to run away with ur boy friend or going for some Haridwar visits!!

in between the serious eye to eye exchanges the door bell gave the entry(thank god or else i would have burned myself standing in front of her)..my darling brother gave in his entry and my mom got to know whats the whole plan is all about...

okay!!i know ur bored with all those ramayana there above...here the point is all about a trekking we both planned for without giving any clue to anyone.but..it was a success..walking around and ending up in some hills, sliding down living with street tea and biscuits..and discoverign all the beautiful natural elements around!!!
a beautiful day ever!!!
i must say all these kind off trecks or even a walk around ur place(it should be calm enough for the walk) can let u release ur blood pressure but getting back home its going to rise again!!

Mumbai Meri Jaaan!!!

What makes a good City? Might be a meaningless question! And have u ever felt Mumbai an idle city!!!Might feel it to be like a stinking zoo! Still this mixture of cultures are forever a wonder.

Now talking about Mumbai being mere jaan is something which walked into my mind while writing an essay on urbanism and city making. It is a common feeling that most urban places are less than satisfactory-uncomfortable, ugly, or dull-as if they were being measured on some absolute scale. Only fragments of the settled world are generally suburb, a fine park, a historic town, the vital center of some great city, an old farming region.

The elements in the city can be linked with other events and places in a coherent mental representation of time and space and that representation can be connected with non-spatial concepts and values.
The difficulty in representing Mumbai now is that there is always a feeling that such representations may fall into one of the several limitations of reading the city linearly. These limitations f linearity include making gross generalizations or getting lost in seductive micro-narratives or constructing incredible scenarios.

walking in and around the city always tickled my senses.Senses depends on spatial form and quality based on the culture, temperament, status, experience and current purpose of the observer. The smell of Mumbai! As pointed out in Shantaram, the smell of thousand temples, churches, mosques ,hundreds of bazaars and yes the smell “paan” which makes me feel am back home right away when I step into Mumbai!

Which other city can give you this feeling.. A city lighted up welcoming you anytime, any day changing your life route to a different destiny. Any state ,caste, color or good, bad we are her kids!

MUMBAI MERI JAAN!

EXAM TIMES...

Exam times are always a hyper tension time for me; not only me, am sure most of you who are reading this. Exam preparations are different for different person. It’s a century of tuitions and coaching centers. From junior kindergarten to engineering students depend on tuitions or coaching.

Recently I paid a visit to my cousin’s place. She walked in with great tiredness, threw her bag on to the bed with all her frustrations’. A day before she just got her 12th board exams done and from the very next day she started her entrance full day coachings.in her 11th and 12th class she rarely had her visit to her school, more time had she spent in entrance coaching colleges where they used to take both tuitions and entrance coaching. Now after her exams it’s become full day coaching. The state entrance exam begins by May end and the college allotments starts by June; July 1st week her new college life is to begin. She bursted out by asking to throw away those books.

When is she going to have a peaceful life?

Going for tuitions even for engineering always surprises me. What is that you gain through it? Marks or knowledge.

I still remember my frustrations of my 1st day at the entrance coaching center, but my parents never forced me to study or refer books to get through those days. Attempting IIT, AIEEE, CUSAT and KERALA entrance was my attempt to try my luck in them. And the entrance examination days were like some picnic days for me and my mom who accompanied visiting each place and also to watch various people specially students. Most eye catching student a girl, who was biting her books and continuously applying balm on her forehead, but couldn’t score well in entrance.

Now a days life for a student is just mugging up the texts and less exposing themselves to the outer world and letting them know what’s the actual world around.

madness..the mental instability

A Bangladeshi guy who works in my dad's office landed after his 1 month vacation came up with all different mentality..i should say,the first time he came home with a packet of sweets,i felt something wrong in him.

OK!now the main incident takes place.he started roaming around the camp,on the way carrying others chappals..and yes he walks down to my house calls out "sab ji" and gets my dad out. He gives warning and sends him back..One day morning,he is missing!!later the call comes from office that the guy s back and screaming around the office. When asked,he started explaining to my dad about his visit to airport and asking the guards there to send him inside and board the flight and he claims to be hindusatani it seems!!

He was taken to the hospital and admitted there.today morning the Omani PRO went to collect him from hospital to pack him back to his home town.he took him left him and handed over to the flight authorities.the time the PRO reached office,a guy came running towards screaming that his labor card and wallet is robbed.

the PRO ran back to airport got hold of a police personality and got in..the scene was the guy dancing with a cup of tea and that too in hospital attire!!along with him few other people enjoying the tap dance..mental instability can lead others into it too..

so called maturity

I have seen teenagers taking their life more than what they are; here I don’t claim that I haven’t showed that great maturity according to my age. Here I point out the maturity were kids raise it unnecessary in front of others showing they are great than others, am wrong here calling that as maturity!!

Recently I paid a visit to my school which taught us various aspects of life and yes we remain with the same respect we were bought in! But interacting with the faculty there, I could make it out the students attitude has changed; their perception of life is changed!!

Yes, this change is just not only seen in my school, am sure everyone has seen this change in upcoming kids! The change is seen worldwide, as the technology has changed the life style changes. There was a time; joint family system was in role.

Here the role of parents in the life of the children is something great! Because the way the parents behave, the kids follow them the similar manner. In my schooling and yes present college life I had and now interacting with lot of people I understand how each generation have developed! In school being a part of student’s council, we had get hold of different students doing many notorious mistakes. When they were questioned, the fact arises, their parent does it, y can’t we do it!!Can we blame them alone???

A simple question to a next door girl “your hair clip and dress color doesn’t keep any match, what happened?” got me into a sudden shock of hearing unexpected answers!!She came up with all kind off explanations even getting my mom involved in it!!Here I never blame her parents, it’s her own attitude which she got it from her friends!!  If a 1st std. girl can come up with this attitude then what to say about a teenager!!

STILL THE BAKRA IS SMILING AT ME!

Middle East is famous for two major things, one is rich in “Mallu” population and other is their rich Biryani with fragrant spices!!Now you might think from where this thought of biryani walked through my mind, very simple; nowhere else a well-organized Omani marriage I recently attended!!!

Now here my three membered families, i.e., me, dad and mummy represent the girl’s side, she comes as my dad’s secretary’s sister. The time we walked into their grandly decorated home two people greeted us, secretary and her brother. The secretary is the only educated personality among the group present there! That itself is a great deal!

She lead us to a room (that’s the 1st time am seeing a room unfurnished) and asked us to sit.me and mummy looked around in wonder were to sit, the host understanding our confusion sat down and asked us to sit. We took our seat (i.e. the floor) and looked around. Within a fraction of second a huge group of shining ladies gave their entry, seriously few of them had a tough time to get through the 1m wide door.

They looked at us like the monkeys kept in the zoo with all the wonders of seeing an Indian family attending their marriage functions. They got us different varieties of trays filled with varieties of sweets and eateries. Mmmhh!!!i should appreciate the taste!!A flask of kava (traditional Muslim coffee) and 1 kava cup for the group of 10. They stretched a cup of coffee to me and mummy but resisted having it. But the ladies couldn’t resist the fragrance of the coffee bean, one of the lady took out the cup pour in the coffee drank it dipped the cup into a bowl of water and handed it to next lady. Wow what a passing game!!

Back stage there is preparation of fresh biryani is taking place. Best Omani chefs are preparing it in all better possible ways. After a while of chit chats with all my body including in it, the host took us to the  next room, a few ladies have already taken their seat(floor is the same seat here).they welcomed us to join them, walking in I noticed a huge plate filled with mutton biryani in the right midst of the ladies.

Amidst the talks, I noticed someone is smiling at me sitting right in the middle. Oops!!The “bakra” is smiling at me!!i have seen mummy garnishing the rice or any dishes with tomato skin or greens, never with the head of the animal she had prepared the dish with. Here the character smiling at me is the goat’s head garnished over the biryani. The hosts made it clear, it’s a local tradition were they garnish the biryanis with the ingredients they have used in making of it!!i was freakily surprised in this statement looking at the bakra with his wide open eyes who is looking at me with his smile of sympathy!!As me and mummy are out of non-vegetarians we got our stomach filled watching the bakra whose whole body is been inside the ladies around us!!

Still, the bakra is smiling at me!!I feel its eyes rolling at me!
